Meet us at Heidelberg and Mount Elliot for our annual Winter Solstice event on Wednesday, December 21st. We are celebrating the shortest day and the longest night of the year with an ancestral bonfire and community offerings of warmth!

In lieu of community offerings of warmth, we are collecting new and gently used winter hats, gloves, scarves, coats and socks for those in need. If you would like to drop off your contribution before the event, please deliver to the Number House (3632 Heidelberg) during regular gift shop hours: Thursday-Sunday from 12-5 p.m.

This event is coordinated by Lisa Rodriguez and is part of Thirty Months of Heidelberg, a series of celebratory experiences and events in conjunction to the 30-year anniversary of the Heidelberg Project. Thirty months of Heidelberg is supported in part by the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation, the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan and the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.

Interested in lending a hand at the event? Please contact our HP Volunteer Coordinator Amanda Paige via email at volunteer@heidelberg.org or by phone at (313) 974-6894.
